Like any other human organisation, a research association exists through the achievements of its members. It needs to attract a community and, for that purpose, to offer different ways for communicating about ongoing work. The main occasion is offered by international conferences.
In the case of IARTEM, our international conference occurs every 2 years, alternating with a regional conference. In 2024, the 17th international IARTEM conference was organised in Paris from May 28th to May 31st. More than 120 participants from 30 countries attended, with a very topical theme: Facing climate and societal change. Concepts for designing, sharing, and using educational resources in traditional and new subjects in compulsory and higher education. About 30% of participants were PhD students, proving once again the continuing value of IARTEM’s work for a new generation...
